Charles Pelletier Méthode Traditionnelle Blanc de Blancs is crafted by Maison Veuve Ambal which was founded in the heart of the Burgundy wine-growing region in 1898 by Marie Ambal, the wife of a Parisian banker. After his death she returned to her native village of Rully, where her brother, an owner and merchant of Burgundy wines, still lived. Rully is an area in the Saône-et-Loire department in the region of Burgundy in eastern France.
