Tasting Notes

This wine is easily the best vintage ever produced at Chateau Labegorce. Showing a good depth of color and serving up spicy plums, cherries, licorice and wet earth, it's soft, polished and loaded with even more licorice, dark chocolate and juicy, ripe, black cherries in a forward, style. Made from a blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 44% Merlot, 4% Petit Verdot and 2% Cabernet Franc, the wine is aging in 50% new, French oak barrels.
